After a lot of beta testing, and more coding than I have dealt with in years, I relaunched www.greenmantle.biz with a 10 image micro folio on the front page, to better suit magazine designers who don’t have all day to poke around the 6000+ image gallery on elffinarts.com before commissioning me for work. I also cloned my old blog from elffinarts to mark.greenmantle.biz as this subdomain appears more obvious to anyone searching my name.

Tonight saw me upload a good few gig of images to Damion from Knights Order of Lion Rampant for their website and I am keen to see the wonderful work that he and Merv Cannon work with these and the others being provided. I expect that site will become something of a benchmark for medieval societies worldwide to match. (I’ll wait till it is relaunched to link to it)
I was also booked to shoot a viking raider for History Alive tonight but the viking came down with a flu and will with some luck be healthy enough to look threatening on Thursday. I can’t let on about the style of the shoot but it has to do with a poster campaign that will really increase the public interest in the event this year. Stronger shots and less bullshit is the aim. Medieval re-enactment organisations need to avoid the school fate styles that have been prevalent for too many years.

Pirates!!! Well, a multimedia student from Toowoomba in costume as one anyway!
AfterDark Jewelry (not a typo - they’re from the US of A) sent me some lovely skull and X bone style pirate theme trinkets to shoot on a lovely model so, Imogen who is due to appear in the next edition of Fiend magazine has agreed to be trussed up as a pirate wench-doll and model the trinkets and possibly a corset due to be sent back to Asylum7 (they loaned said corset for the Fiend shoot - I'll check Tuesday about if they want it in more editorial).
